Hi Friends,
I apologize for this post being a bit late, but it's worth it!
This week our Feature Artist is 'Finn Doxie', a duo using Celtic Harp, Guitar and two voices to create a truly different musical environment. But first, we have a song from our own Deanna Tworivers opening the show, then...
We have 4 tunes from a young woman who only gave her name as 'Julie', but she's very engaging, and we hope she will return soon.
Then we offer for your enjoyment a total of ten songs from Finn Doxie! I've included so many tunes from their set because they're all good!
And we close-out this week's edition with a couple of songs from our good friend Tom Arnold, including one with Deanna helping on the vocals.
Enjoy!

Sellwood Public House/TwoRivers Music Open Mic, 02 June, 2011
Hi Friends,
We have an amazing edition of the TwoRivers Music/Sellwood Public House Podcast this week, with a couple of 'first-time' guests to the Pub, and several tunes from the incredible Joe New, who was our Feature Artist for the week.
Let's get going...
We open this week with TwoRivers Music performing one of Deanna Tworivers' great tunes, then we go to Sellwood Public House newcomer Daniel Novak, who brings two songs for your enjoyment, complete with a bit of back-story.
We go then to Europe for a few songs, compliments of retired surgeon Bolik Brandt, in his first time at Sellwood, and he made a very respectful 'Listening Room' out of Sellwood Public House for his set, two songs of which we bring you here...
Then we have a terrific tune from Tom Sharf, a talented fellow who often hosts Open Mics himself, so keep watch in the listings for his next Open Mic opportunity.
And that brings us to our Feature artist this week; the incredible wordsmith Joe New! Joe has an incredible history in Songwriting, with his songs recorded by Emmylou Harris, Joe Ely, Asleep at The Wheel, and much much more! We bring you six songs from Joe New, along with an interview I conducted onstage with Joe after his set.
He shares some great insights and offers some helpful words for you songwriters working your way up the ladder.
Closing-out our show for this week is a great set from a wonderful Songwriter, and a 'mover-and-shaker' in the Folk Music scene in the Northwest; Susan Lundy!
It's always a real pleasure to see and hear Susan, and she brought a Brand-New song!
I hope you'll enjoy this week's Podcast, and that you'll join us in person, every Thursday evening at Portland Oregon's Sellwood Public House!http://www.box.net/shared/x2ljgxpk2e
